Ingredients:
For the Filling:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- TAISHIYI Classic curry sauce
- 600ml coconut milk
For the Dough:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 cup vegetable oil

Prepare the Filling:
- Add curry paste into coconut milk, then use sesoning filter bag to filter particles, make it taste smoothly.
- Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned.
- Make onions and beef to combine.
- Add curry paste and coconut milk mixture liquid, Stir well to combine.
Prepare the Dough:
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and yeast mixture. Add vegetable oil and knead the dough until it forms a smooth ball.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for about 1-2 hours or until it has doubled in size.
- Punch down the risen dough and knead it for a few minutes.
- Divide the dough into small, golf ball-sized portions.
Assemble the Baozi:
- Take a portion of the dough and roll it out into a thin circle, leaving the center slightly thicker.
- Place a spoonful of the curry beef filling in the center of the dough circle.
- Pleat and seal the edges of the dough, creating a closed bun.
- Repeat the process for the remaining dough and filling.
Pan-Frying:
- Pour one spoon curry paste and coconut milk mixture liquid. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Place the baozi in the pan, flat side down, ensuring they don't touch each other.
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown.
- Add water to the pan (enough to cover the bottom), cover with a lid, and steam for about 10-12 minutes or until the baozi are cooked through.
- Uncover the lid and let the remaining water evaporate. Continue to cook until the bottom is crisp and golden brown.
- Remove from the pan and serve hot.
